Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD presents in many ways. In fact, few children or adults are alike, creating challenges for clinicians unfamiliar with ASD. At Insights to Health, we are trained to identify sub-types and find appropriate strategies and interventions to assist patients with ASD. We use a combination of detailed history, observation, and lab testing to identify potential imbalances, which allows us to better tailor interventions to be both safe and effective.
When indicated, we use neurofeedback to help balance brain function. A functional map can be created in several sessions, helping calm the mind and body while learning the parts of the brain that need to be further maximized in order to reduce symptoms and increase functioning and well-being for the patient. Nutritional and botanical therapies are utilized as well.
We also support the the person with ASD and their family members to heal from or avoid the emotional and physical burnout that commonly occurs.
